Royal Commission into the Super and Banking Industries

Everyone by now would have seen the Royal Commission into the Superannuation and Banking industries. There have been some terrible details emerge from Commissioner Hayne’s queries and it is heartbreaking to hear how many Australians have been negatively impacted by poor advice. At Hayes Girling, we are proud to be recognised for the long-term quality of our advice. In 2018 we received the Outstanding Advice Quality award from our dealer group Count Financial and in 2017 we were one of 3 finalists for the same award.

For the last 6 years, we have also been a firm that structures fees as ‘Fee for Service’. Our income is not commission based nor charged as a percentage of invested assets. Our view is that if we provide you with a service, you should be charged only for that service, regardless of your means or other circumstances. We believe this places us best to offer you great service adding significant value to your situation at a price that is affordable for you. We also have substantial back-office resources to ensure that all services promised are provided to clients as contracted and do not suffer from the “fees for no service” that has rocked the industry.

This outlines the financial planning team’s commitment to quality and we hope reinforces that by working with Hayes Girling you can be comfortable that you are dealing with people who have your best interests at heart and are suitably able to put you in the best position possible.

If you would like to discuss our philosophy towards our financial advisory services, how we are able to demonstrate that our clients are in a better position for working with us or any concerns or queries you may have from the media surrounding the royal commission you are welcome to contact the office on (03) 9764 2244 or email admin@hgfin.com.au
